Human Target

January 22, 2010

I was looking for a new show to watch so I decided to try “Human Target”. I’m deleting it from the PVR schedule after just two episodes. The second episode features some of the stupidest plot complications I’ve seen in quite a while. Was this supposed to be a syfy movie and they didn’t tell anyone?

Review of “The Prisoner”

Two words. “Don’t bother”. It was disjointed, badly written, badly edited, and had so many plot holes you could drive an escape bus through them.

Is Warehouse 23 dead?

July 24, 2009

Hey, I’m not above using one of the tricks from schlock journalism school 101. Take something big/popular/ubiquitous and plaster a big headline “IS XXX DEAD?”.

But really. The writers of Warehouse 23 are falling down on the job. Here are my beefs:
* The science has been silly so far.
* With a gold mine of fantastic gadgets to choose from they’re doing shows about chair springs? Ugh!
* The characters constant bitching at each other is almost intolerable. In the last show if I’d been their boss I would have used the taser gun on them, repeatedly, until I got their attention.

Come on guys! Time to make your move or you’re going to fold.

warehouse 23 comes to TV

June 16, 2009

Woo hoo! I’m looking forward to seeing this. I thought this was one of the most fun supplements Steve Jackson Games ever put out. I hope they don’t muck it up, but I have this suspicion that they will. The anticipation will be nice though.

Deadwood review

January 1, 2008

I really tried to give this show a fair chance but couldn’t even finish watching the first episode. It starts off slow and doesn’t improve. I didn’t care about any of the characters halfway through the episode. The writer confuses profanity with dialogue. It really should have been called “F**kwood” instead of “Deadwood”. If you’re desperate for a western with lots of soap opera intrigue and don’t mind profanity this show could be for you. It’s also got a decent set of actors and has good production values. If you’re looking for anything else give it a miss.
